Follow the journey
Privacy

Privacy policy.

The short version: this site collects as little as possible, never sells or shares your details, and only ever emails you if you’ve asked it to. The plain-language detail is below.

What we collect

This site only collects what you type into it. If you share a dream on the Dream Movement page, that’s the name you enter, your email address, your country, your dream, a category for it, and the next step you’re planning (and when). If you use the contact form, it’s your name, email address, the reason you picked and your message. If you sign up to follow the journey, it’s just your email address.

That’s it. There is no analytics or advertising tracking on this site, and no cookies beyond the essentials WordPress needs to run (for example, if you log in — which visitors never do).

How we use it

Dream submissions are held privately for review — a real person reads every one before anything appears on the wall. Contact and follow-along submissions are stored securely in the site’s own database so we can reply to you, or send you the updates you asked for. Nothing is sold, rented or passed to third parties.

What gets published

Only approved dreams appear on the dream wall, and an approved dream shows only: your dream, the name you entered, your country and its category. Your email address, your next step and its date are never published, anywhere. We suggest sharing just your first name — the wall shows the name exactly as you typed it.

Email preferences

Ticking “Send me the Dream Chaser Kit and expedition updates” (or signing up to follow the journey) adds you to our mailing list — but only after you confirm it. We use double opt-in: you’ll get one confirmation email first, and nothing else unless you click it. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing works immediately, no questions asked.

Data requests

Want to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted — including a dream you’ve shared? Email sarah@pole-to-pole.com and we’ll sort it out promptly.

Where this site lives

The site is hosted on Kinsta’s managed WordPress platform, and everything you send it travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Email sign-ups are managed in the site’s own mailing system — not a third-party marketing network.

This policy is a working draft ahead of launch.
